Timothy McDowell

Tim McDowell is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Bristol Extracts in Canandaigua, NY. Tim has over 12 years of experience in the management of “plant-touching” cannabis operations of commercial processing systems, including CAPA, cGMP, and HACCP quality control systems.

From 2009 – 2021 he was the Founder & COO of marQaha, one of the original cannabis-infused product brands in the country. As COO, he managed the launch, strategy, innovation, operations, and continuous improvement of the business. During this time marQaha was part of the first wave of licensed cannabis businesses in Colorado, Nevada, and Illinois.

Tim was selected to participate in 3 state-level Work Groups in Colorado to advise and author the regulatory framework for the Adult Use cannabis industry. He also was selected by Pennsylvania Sen Daylin Leach to participate in the PA Dept of Health Summit to advise on the forming and framework of Pennsylvania’s Medical Cannabis Program.

Through his consulting firm TreeFrog Cannabis Consulting, Tim was successful at “winning” clients in 12 states (NV, IL, PA, MD, OH, MO, HI, CO, OR, FL, AR, MA) for competitive licensing in the Medical or Adult-Use cannabis markets. He is a successful entrepreneur and a veteran of the regulated US Cannabis market and highly regarded as a consultant and leader for private and public organizations.
