Russell “Russ” Gould was appointed as Bristow’s Chief Safety Officer on February 24, 2023. In this position, he works with the business-unit leadership teams to support and define a consistent global standard with respect to Safety, Compliance, and Health, Safety and Environment management, which includes working closely with the leadership team to select safety and reporting systems and define standardized company reporting and risk management.
Russ has been a vital part of Bristow for more than 34 years, during which time he has gained extensive leadership experience in Airworthiness, Engineering, and Safety. He previously served as a Safety and Compliance Manager beginning in 2018. From 2013 to 2018, he served as the Director Global Fleet Support. Other roles included Fleet Support Manager, S-76 and EC155 Type Engineer, and licenced aircraft engineer. He started his career at Bristow in 1989 as an engineering apprentice. He has also served as the working group co-chair for Helicopter Health Monitoring for HeliOffshore, working towards the goal of safer and more reliable helicopter operations.
