Hugo Alvarado

Hugo Alvarado has been working in the software engineering industry since 2004. Hugo began their career at Alienware as a Tech Support, then moved on to Inet Software as a Programmer working with Flash, Java, and ASP.Net. In 2006, they completed a 6-month internship at Intel as a Programmer, and then worked as a Web Developer and Full Stack Developer for an independent company. From 2008 to 2017, Hugo worked at Rogers Software Development as a Development Team Lead and Full Stack Developer. Hugo then moved on to BriteCore, where they held the roles of Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, and Engineering Manager. Hugo is currently employed at Regis Corporation as an Engineering Manager.

Hugo Alvarado obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Software Engineering from ITCR between 1999 and 2006, and a BS in ComputerSoftware from Tecnológico de Costa Rica between 1999 and 2006. Hugo also obtained certifications in Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Coursera and Amazon Web Services (AWS) between 2014 and 2020.
