Chen Zhao

Chen Zhao is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Senior Program Manager for Science & Research at the British Council since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Consultant at ByteDance, where responsibilities encompassed developing academic outreach strategies and managing R&D collaboration projects across multiple countries in advanced tech areas. Prior to that, Chen was an Associate at Falcon and Associates, participating in a prestigious management training program focused on consulting competencies, and worked with DP World on sustainability projects. Chen's early career included an internship at Ashinaga and leadership as Panel Director for the Oxford University China-Africa Conferences. Chen holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford and a BA in International Relations from Ritsumeikan University.
