Paul Mullan has extensive work experience in the field of sports performance support and science. Paul held the position of Head of Performance Support at British Cycling starting in January 2020. Before that, they worked at the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) for nearly a decade as the Head of Sports Science and Medicine. Prior to RYA, they worked at the English Institute of Sport where they served as the Lead Talent Scientist from May 2009 to June 2011 and as a Physiologist from June 2005 to May 2009.
Paul Mullan attended Finchley Catholic High School from 1990 to 1997. Paul then went on to study at the University of Brighton, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport & Exercise Science from 1997 to 2000. Paul later pursued a Master of Science in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Brighton from 2003 to 2005.
