Kris Hamer

Director Of Insight at British Retail Consortium

Kris Hamer has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. In 1995, Kris began their career with various in-store roles at Tesco PLC. They then worked at Waitrose as a Waste Performance Manager, Retail Insight Manager, and Manager of Labour Productivity. Kris also held positions at John Lewis Partnership as a Senior HR Analyst and as Deputy Store Manager at Waitrose. They later joined Asda Walmart as a Senior Manager, leading a team responsible for stock shrink and insight. Kris then moved on to SSP Group Plc, where they served as Head of Labour Productivity, leading a strategic program to align labour costs with sales. They then joined Retail Insight, first as Head of Retail Analytics, then as Director of Analytics, and finally as VP Research, overseeing strategic research initiatives. Currently, Kris works as the Director of Insight at the British Retail Consortium.

Kris Hamer completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Retail Store Performance Predictive Modelling at Henley Business School from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, Kris obtained a BA Hons degree in Management & Business Administration from the University of Reading, graduating from 1998 to 2001.
