Coach - Performance Coach Development Programme at British Rowing

Peter Boyes has a diverse work experience in the field of rowing and sports administration. Starting in 2016, they served as the President of the University of Nottingham Boat Club, where they led the club and worked with coaches and staff to enhance the club's performance. Peter also took on additional roles as the Safety Officer and COVID Officer during their time there.

In 2017, Peter joined the East Midlands Regional Rowing Council as the Higher Education Representative and Secretary, where they handled responsibilities including preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and reports, as well as acting as a point of contact for NGB and regional clubs.

In 2020, they became involved with British Rowing, initially serving as a Covid Officer for the British Rowing Junior Championships. Peter also worked as a UK Student Ambassador for FISU - International University Sports Federation, promoting international university sports events.

Additionally, they gained coaching experience at the University of Nottingham Sport, fulfilling roles such as Head Coach and Senior Coach for the Boat Club. Peter'scoaching achievements included leading squads and athletes to strong performances in various rowing competitions.

In 2021, they also founded and chaired Castra Boat Club, an alumni boat club that supports the University of Nottingham Boat Club and provides opportunities for alumni to race and train.

Most recently, Peter joined British Rowing as the Head of Insight and Strategy, where they support high-quality insight-based decision-making, strategy development, and project management across the organization. Peter'srole involves overseeing research, data analytics, and program monitoring, as well as leading projects from strategy to implementation for the benefit of the rowing community.

Peter Boyes has a strong education history in the field of Human Computer Interaction. Peter completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Nottingham from 2014 to 2017. Peter then pursued a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction at the same university from 2017 to 2018. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the University of Nottingham to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Human Computer Interaction, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
