Jonathan Bennett

Jonathan Bennett currently holds the position of President at the British Thoracic Society and serves as a Visiting Respiratory Consultant for the Gibraltar Health Authority. As a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Jonathan has led services for lung cancer and interventional procedures. Additionally, Jonathan is an Honorary Professor of Respiratory Sciences at the University of Leicester and serves as the BMJ Best Practice Expert Clinical Advisor. A former Chair of the Board of Trustees for the British Thoracic Society and current Deputy Medical Director for Invited Service Reviews at the Royal College of Physicians, Jonathan has a comprehensive background in respiratory medicine and education, supported by degrees from the University of Nottingham and the University of Leeds.
