Kim Harkness

Kim Harkness has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kim is currently working as the Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, and Community Outreach at Broad River Retail d/b/a Ashley HomeStore since July 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Marketing at the same company from May 2017 to June 2021.

Before joining Broad River Retail, Kim worked at Travelers Insurance, where they held various marketing positions. Kim started as an Accounting Coordinator in January 1999 and eventually became an Operations Manager from May 2001 to December 2002. Kim then joined J&A Integrated Thinking in February 2006 as an Account Executive and was later promoted to the role of Senior Account Executive, which they held until December 2011.

In February 2012, Kim returned to Travelers Insurance as a Marketing Manager and subsequently became a Marketing Director from February 2013 to February 2015. Their final role at Travelers was the Managing Marketing Director - Business Insurance, which they held from February 2015 to April 2017.

Prior to their time at Travelers Insurance, Kim worked at The Buntin Group. Kim started as an Administrative Manager in June 2000 and advanced to the position of Operations Manager from May 2001 to December 2002. After that, they served as a Senior Operations Manager from December 2002 to January 2006.

Following this, from 1993 to 1995, they attended Roane State Community College again, this time focusing on a Program Study related to Hazardous Materials Management and Waste Technology/Technician. Lastly, they completed their education at Tusculum University from 1995 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Organizational Management.
