Venkatesh Padebettu

5G Project Stream Lead - Wireless Wireline Convergence WA at Broadband Forum

Venkatesh Padebettu has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Venkatesh started their career at Analog Devices Inc as a Senior Software Engineer from an unspecified start date until 2004. Venkatesh then moved on to work at Motorola as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2004 to March 2005. Following that, they joined Nortel Networks as an Engineer from March 2005 to April 2007.

In 2007, Padebettu joined RedShift Internetworking as a Senior Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included designing the infrastructure for the Transparent Proxy, Systems HA, and Process Health Check Module. Venkatesh worked there from April 2007 to March 2008.

After leaving RedShift Internetworking, Padebettu joined Nuova Systems as an MTS. Their tenure at Nuova Systems was relatively short, from February 2008 to May 2008.

In the same year, Padebettu started working at Cisco Systems - EBBU. Venkatesh held several positions during their tenure at Cisco, starting as a Software Engineer from May 2008 to April 2011. Venkatesh then progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer from April 2011 to February 2012. Finally, Padebettu became a Technical Leader in Engineering, leading the MPLS/VPLS technologies in Catalyst 6000, the architecture/development for Cisco's Next Gen Campus Solution, and the Advanced Tunneling development for the Catalyst 6000. Venkatesh remained in this position until May 2013.

From May 2013 to January 2018, Padebettu worked at Ericsson R&D India as a Principal Engineer S&T.

In February 2018, Padebettu joined Wipro Limited as a Principal Architect. However, their tenure at Wipro was relatively short, lasting only until October 2018.

Padebettu then moved on to Juniper Networks, where they worked as a Principal Engineer. Their responsibilities at Juniper Networks included being responsible for the architecture and delivery of 5G Wireless Wireline Convergence and actively contributing to broadband forum and 3gpp standardization. Venkatesh also architected the BNG using Merchant Silicon - BRCM Jerico2C/QumranAX. Venkatesh has been with Juniper Networks since October 2018.

Most recently, in September 2021, Padebettu took on the role of 5G Project Stream Lead - Wireless Wireline Convergence WA at Broadband Forum.

Venkatesh Padebettu's education history is as follows:

From 2000 to 2001, they pursued an MS degree in Software Systems at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

Between the years 1993 and 1997, they attended Kuvempu Vishwavidyanilaya, where they earned a B. E degree in Electronic and Communications.

From 1991 to 1993, they studied at Nalanda Residential Jr College, obtaining an Intermediate Certificate of Andhra Pradesh (PUC) with a focus on Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.

Their secondary education took place from 1984 to 1991 at St Patricks High School, where they obtained a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC).
