Karen Howard is an accomplished benefits leader with extensive experience in designing and managing employee benefits programs. Currently serving as Vice President of Benefits at Broadridge since 2022, Karen leads health and welfare, retirement, disability, and ancillary benefit programs for an organization with 14,000 associates, overseeing a team of seven professionals. Previously, Karen held the role of Assistant Vice President at The Hartford, managing benefits for 28,000 employees and retirees across the US and Canada, with an annual budget of approximately $500 million. Earlier roles include Director of Benefits Strategy at Aetna Inc., and Manager of Underwriting & Financial Analysis at Travelers Insurance Company, where Karen excelled in strategic analysis and financial oversight of benefit programs. Karen holds an MBA in Human Resources from Rensselaer and a BS in Education from the University of Vermont.
