David Lalonde-Lavoie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. David started their career in 2011 as a Digital Cut-Out Animator at Oasis Animation Inc. In 2012, they worked as a Flash Animator at Taimma Communications and later as a QA Tester at EA Mobile, where they tested mobile games on iOS and Android.
In 2013, David worked as a Telephone Interviewer at Léger Marketing. The following year, they joined Babel Media as a Functionality and Xbox One Compliance QA Tester, where they tested video games during their development cycle and reported issues in the issue tracker.
From 2014 to 2016, David worked at VMC as a Senior QA Tester in Microsoft Certification. In this role, they tested video games to ensure compliance with Microsoft's certification standards for publishing games on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
In 2016, David joined Toon Boom Animation as a Software QA Tester and later transitioned to the role of Technical Writer. As a Technical Writer, they studied new functionalities added to multimedia image processing software, network applications, web applications, and command line utilities. David documented them using MadCap Flare, reported bugs and design issues, and rectified mistakes in existing documentation.
Currently, David works at Broadsign as a Quality Assurance Analyst, starting in 2022. No end date is provided for this role.
David Lalonde-Lavoie attended Édouard Montpetit College from 2006 to 2007, where they pursued computer science without obtaining a degree. Following this, they enrolled at Cégep du Vieux Montréal from 2007 to 2011 and successfully completed an Associate's degree in cartoon animation.
