Karen Couto has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Karen began their career in 2017 as a Nursery Chef at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries Ltd and worked there until 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Commis Chef at Wilson Vale Catering Management. In 2021, Karen worked as a Clerical Office Worker at HM Revenue & Customs before transitioning to their current role as an Operational Compliance Coordinator at Brook Street.

Karen Couto has a history of education that includes two higher national diploma degrees. From 2007 to 2008, they attended Uxbridge College where they pursued a degree in Mental and Social Health Services and Allied Professions. Then, from 2018 to 2019, Karen attended Uxbridge College again, this time studying Food Preparation/Professional Cooking/Kitchen Assistant. In addition to their degrees, they also obtained two certifications. In July 2019, they became a Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS) from Uxbridge College, and in October 2019, they obtained the HVAC Fire Life Safety Level 1 (HVAC) certification from Amgen.
