Kathleen Heaney

Kathleen Heaney is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at Brooke Charter Schools since July 2022, previously holding the position of Founding Teacher at Ascend Public Charter Schools from September 2019 to June 2022. Kathleen has a robust background in educational support through roles with Teach For America and City Year, where significant contributions included creating data-driven tutoring plans and promoting social-emotional development. An alumnus of Relay Graduate School of Education with a Master of Arts in Special Education, Kathleen also holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Sociology from SUNY Geneseo. Additional experience includes tutoring international students and mentoring in a youth court setting, showcasing Kathleen's commitment to both education and community engagement.
