Mark Loring

Mark Loring has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Mark most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Brooke Charter Schools, where they played a key role in the organization's operations. Prior to that, Mark worked at Lawrence Public Schools as the Dean of Operations & Faculty Support, where they contributed to the turnaround of a level 4 school into a level 1 school. Mark also led the PE department and managed a team of teachers and assistant teachers. Mark has also worked at Positive Ally, where they served as a Site Director and managed an afterschool program. Mark was responsible for various operational aspects and ensured compliance with state regulations. Additionally, Mark has experience as a Homeschool Teacher, where they designed a curriculum and assessment system for their students. Mark began their career as a Greater New Orleans-Louisiana Delta Corps Member for Teach for America, where they helped establish a new TFA region and taught 4th grade.

Mark Loring earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Secondary Education from Appalachian State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Later, they pursued a Master's of Education degree in Education Policy & Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2013 to 2014. Prior to their university education, Mark obtained their high school diploma from Myers Park High School between 2001 and 2005.
