Leslie Baker Lyon

Leslie Baker Lyon is a Transmission Design Engineer II at PacifiCorp, responsible for designing new and rebuilding existing transmission lines and structures to meet compliance standards. Leslie has extensive experience in aerospace and engineering, having served as a Brooke Owens Fellow while interning at XPRIZE, focusing on innovative space solutions. Previous roles include Prototype Engineer at Outpost, where Leslie developed advanced re-entry systems for satellites, and involvement in the Portland State Aerospace Society's capstone project for a reusable recovery system for rockets. Leslie also has internship experience with NOAA, NASA Ames Research Center, and has held project management roles at Inprintz and C2 Media. Leslie earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University, with prior educational experiences at Portland Community College and Purdue University.
