Barry Fischer

Barry Fischer, CPA, CMA, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Barry currently serves as the Vice President & Head of Finance at Brookfield Asset Management's Technology Services Group, overseeing various finance functions. Prior to this, Barry founded Tigenix Consulting, where they provided financial consulting services. Barry also worked at TELUS as the Director of Finance, holding multiple leadership roles in finance. During their time at TELUS, Barry achieved significant milestones in bid review, pricing, and regulatory filings. Before TELUS, they worked at IBM as a Senior Finance Manager, managing the financial and management reporting for the leasing division. Barry also gained experience as a Finance Analyst at TD Waterhouse and as a Co-op student at Canada Life, where they made valuable contributions in portfolio management. Barry Fischer, CPA, CMA, MBA, has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Honours) from York University in 1996 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance from McMaster University in 1998. From 2008 to 2010, Barry also pursued accounting studies through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Additionally, Barry has pursued further education in Accounting and Finance through two separate Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs at McMaster University.
