Steve Swell

Steve Swell is an experienced music educator and board member with a background in teaching jazz and brass instruments. Since March 2017, Steve has taught a Jazz Ensemble for middle school students at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. In addition, Steve serves on the Board of Directors for the Robert D. Bielecki Foundation, focusing on tailored grants and support for artists and organizations. Steve has held various teaching roles, including as a Teaching Artist with the Jazz Foundation Of America since 2012, where coaching duties include working with students at Leman Prep. Previous teaching experiences encompass instruction at Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center and Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, as well as offering lessons in Djembe and improvisation at diverse educational settings. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from SUNY Empire State College, obtained between 2014 and 2016.
