Ellen Pachnanda has diverse experience in the legal field. Ellen started their career at Harrington & Mahoney in 2004 as an Associate, working there until 2007. Following that, they joined the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County in 2007 as an Attorney, where they stayed until 2016. At the Legal Aid Society, they handled various legal matters. In 2016, Ellen joined Brooklyn Defenders as an Attorney and quickly advanced to the position of Senior Staff Attorney in 2017. Currently, they hold the role of Director, Immigration Practice at Brooklyn Defenders.
Ellen Pachnanda attended Cornell University from 1996 to 2000, where they completed a double major in History and Government and earned their A.B. degree. Ellen then pursued further education at the University at Buffalo School of Law from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained their J.D. degree with a specialization in Law.
