Rebecca Orleans

Rebecca Orleans is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Brooklyn Defenders since September 2022, following an internship with The Legal Aid Society. Prior experience includes legal internships at Colorado State Public Defender and Brooklyn Defender Services, as well as a law clerk position at Louisiana Center for Children's Rights. Before entering the legal field, Rebecca was an Algebra Teacher at Noble Network of Charter Schools and held various roles focused on education, including Leadership Fellow and Poetry Resident. With an academic background encompassing a BA in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing from Oberlin College and a JD from New York University School of Law, Rebecca integrates a passion for social justice and education reform into professional endeavors.
