Karen Santen

Karen Santen has extensive experience in grant coordination and management, currently serving as the Grants Coordinator for the City of Pompano Beach since September 2014, where responsibilities include research, development, grant submission, and management across all city departments. Prior to this role, Karen was a Grants Manager at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, where the original position was initiated, and funding was secured from various sources. Karen also served as Grants Manager for the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, assisting in a $56 million capital campaign and securing $700,000 in funding, while maintaining strong relationships with funders. Earlier experience includes coordinating grants and fundraising for the Faulk Center for Counseling and promoting programs at Keiser University. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech/Communications from Northwestern University.
