Martha Villegas Miranda has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Martha started their career at USHLI as an intern and later became a member of the leadership team, where they served until 2012. In 2012, Martha became the Director of Operations at the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute. Concurrently, they also worked as a Workshop Presenter at Morzep Consulting LLC.
Martha joined Lewis University in 2000 and held multiple positions, including Professor in Social Work, Coordinator of Volunteer Outreach, Introduction to College Experience (ICE) Mentor, and Assistant to the Director of Multicultural Student Services. Martha'stenure at Lewis University lasted until 2017.
From 2014 to 2018, Martha worked at Joliet Junior College, where they served as the Multicultural Student Success Pathway Coach and later as the Project Director for the Latino Americans Grant.
In 2018, Martha transitioned to Dallas College, where they worked as a Senior Academic & Career Advisor until 2020.
Most recently, Martha joined Broward College in 2020 as the Senior Academic Advisor. Martha is also the founding Director of the TRIO Talent Search REACH Program, overseeing its implementation.
Martha Villegas Miranda, MSSW has a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Martha also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Social Work and Ethnic/Cultural Studies from Lewis University. Martha has a Professional Certificate in Trauma & Resilience: Level One from Florida State University.
