Signe Christensen

Signe Christensen, Ph.D., RN, is a registered nurse with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, currently working at Providence Community Health Centers since December 2022 and at Rhode Island Hospital since October 2020. Signe's clinical background includes a nursing student position at Virginia Mason Medical Center, where involvement in oncology care emphasized cultural diversity and interprofessional collaboration, as well as several earlier nursing roles ranging from nursing assistant trainee to student nurse. This professional journey is complemented by a strong academic foundation, holding a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Brown University, along with multiple degrees in nursing and languages from prestigious institutions. Signe has also contributed to education as a lecturer and an early childhood development specialist.
