Jb Zhu

JB Zhu is a Machine Learning Researcher at Brown University, specializing in developing classification models for NASA’s GEDI LIDAR waveform data. In addition, JB serves as the Special Events Team Director and Member for the Brown University Entrepreneurship Program, organizing networking events for student startups and facilitating connections with founders. As a Project Manager for Brown Space Engineering, JB oversees a 40-member club focused on satellite design, while also engaging with NASA and other stakeholders. Experience includes serving as a General Body Member of the Brown Investment Group, participating in financial analysis and investment strategies. As a Summer Business Analyst at Leading Edge Consultants, JB contributed to strategic evaluations in healthcare, including developing business strategies and conducting due diligence for startups. Earlier experience includes interning for David Brown’s campaign and co-founding a nonprofit organization, Maskot, Inc., to support mask distribution efforts. JB Zhu is pursuing an education at Brown University, having previously attended Haverford College and Kimball Union Academy.
