Steven Katz

Steven Katz is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in surgical oncology. Currently serving as Associate Professor of Surgery at Brown University since February 2022, Katz's prior roles include Chief Medical Officer at TriSalus Life Sciences and Chairman of the Immuno-oncology Institute at CharterCARE Health Partners. Katz has a solid background in immunotherapy, having served as Chief of the Immunotherapy Service at Roger Williams Medical Center and as Director of the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship and Director of the Office of Therapeutic Development. Katz completed surgical training as Chief Administrative Surgical Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and as a General Surgery Resident at NYU Medical Center. Educational credentials include an M.D. from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a B.A. in Biochemistry & Government from Wesleyan University. The clinical practice focuses on the surgical treatment of liver tumors, pancreas tumors, melanoma, and sarcoma, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary management.
