Johanna Cheney

Johanna Cheney is an experienced educator with a career spanning over three decades in teaching. Currently serving as a Middle School Math Teacher at Browne Academy since June 2006, Cheney focuses on fostering critical thinking and communication skills through lessons in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Geometry for grades 6-8. Prior to this role, Cheney taught 4th grade at Browne Academy and developed individualized instructional approaches for diverse student groups from June 2001 to June 2004. Cheney's teaching experience also includes roles at St. Mary's Catholic School, where instruction was provided for 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades from 1992 to 2001, emphasizing curriculum integration and differentiation in classrooms. Cheney holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in reading instruction from Indiana University Bloomington, earned in 1992.
