Katja Knezevic

Head Of Communications at Bruegel - Improving economic policy

Katja Knezevic has a diverse work experience in various roles and fields. Katja started their career at HalPet as an English and French Teacher from November 2011 to February 2014. In March 2014, they worked as a Translation Trainee at the European Commission for a few months. In December 2014, they joined Bruegel, where they began as an Operations Coordinator/Administrative Assistant until May 2018. From June 2018 to January 2021, they worked as a Communications and Events Officer at Bruegel. Katja then progressed to become the Events and Governance Manager, responsible for high-profile event organization and developing communication strategies. From January 2023, they became the Deputy Head of Outreach and Events, supervising communication workflows and managing the Bruegel editorial process. Additionally, they have also been involved with The Brussels Binder as a team member in Communications from August 2017 to August 2019. Katja Knezevic's latest work experience is as Head of Communications at Bruegel since November 2023. Katja is also the co-founder and tutor at Wordcraft Collective starting September 2023.

Katja Knezevic completed their Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature and French Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb in 2009. Katja later obtained their Master's Degree in English Culture and Literature and French Translation Studies from the same university in 2014.
