Lauren Altschuler is currently working as the Athletic Communications Director at Bryn Mawr College since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Interim Athletic Communications Director at the same institution from November 2022 to May 2023, and as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications from August 2022 to December 2022.
Before joining Bryn Mawr College, Lauren worked as a PTR Certified Professional Tennis Instructor at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) from May 2016 to December 2022. Lauren also gained experience as a Marketing and Communications Intern at USTA Middle States from January 2022 to May 2022, where they were involved in various tasks such as developing social media content, creating design materials, and assisting in event planning.
In addition, Lauren has worked as an Assistant Tennis Coach and an Athletic Communications and Recreation Intern at Arcadia University from October 2019 to May 2022, and from August 2021 to November 2021, respectively. Lauren has also interned as a Philadelphia Freedoms WTT Intern at the Philadelphia Freedoms tennis team from June 2019 to August 2019.
Their other previous work experiences include serving as a Human Resources Recruiter at SSM Direct from November 2018 to June 2019. Lauren worked as an Assistant Manager and Tennis Instructor at Moorestown Tennis Club from July 2011 to November 2018. Lauren also has experience in early childhood education, having worked as a Teacher's Aide and an Education Intern at Dickinson College Children's Center from January 2017 to May 2018, and from August 2016 to December 2016, respectively.
Furthermore, Lauren played for the NCAA Division III Tennis Team at Dickinson College from August 2014 to May 2018, where they also served as the team captain. Lauren took on additional roles during their time at Dickinson College, including serving as a Class Note Taker from January 2016 to December 2017, and as a House Manager from August 2016 to May 2017. Lastly, they worked as a Consultant at a Virginia-based communications company from September 2017 to December 2017.
Lauren Altschuler completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and Management, as well as Educational Studies, at Dickinson College from 2014 to 2018. Lauren then pursued their Master of Public Administration degree at West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 2020 to 2022, with a focus on Certificate of Sport Management and Athletics.
