Barry Borst

Barry Borst has a diverse work experience. Starting in 1998 at TNO Voeding afdeling ecotoxicologie, they worked as a Milieukundig analist until 2001. Barry then joined Dienst Milieu en Bouwtoezicht Gemeente Amsterdam as a Senior inspecteur handhaving from 2001 to 2002. Following this, Barry worked at Bisschop en Partners as a Senior Handhaver en projectleider from 2002 to 2007. Barry then joined KLM Engineering & Maintenance as an Environmental Policy Advisor from 2007 to 2013. Barry's most recent position is with BSI, where they have held multiple roles starting in 2013. These roles include Client Manager, Operations Manager operational resilience, and currently, they serve as the Key Account Delivery Manager / Lead auditor.

Barry Borst attended Hoger Laboratorium Onderwijs from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained an Ing degree in Milieuchemie. Prior to that, they completed the Middelbare laboratorium opleiding from 1989 to 1993, specializing in MBO analytische/milieukunde. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Lead auditor ISO 50001 and ISO 9001, VCA Vol certification, and Stralingshygiëne deskundigheidsniveau 5B from the Interfacultair Reactor Instituut.
