John Skingle has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John started their career at GEC Avionics as a Sponsored Graduate, gaining valuable experience in various areas such as design, development, production, quality, and testing. John then worked at Paul Stewart Racing as an Engineer before joining BT.

John Skingle attended Brunel University London from 1988 to 1992, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In 2001, they also attended UCLA for the Advanced Management Programme in Telecommunications (AMPT), although they did not receive a degree from this program.
