Carter Wood

Carter Wood has been the Chief Financial Officer at Buchanan & Edwards since 2010. Carter has been instrumental in the company's growth from $20M to $75M in annual revenue. Carter has also successfully transitioned the company from small business to full and open.

Carter has a long history of relationship development and has fostered strong vendor relationships with buy-side M&A firms, banks, insurance brokers, 401(k) administrators, benefits brokers, etc. Carter is known for their ability to develop and implement strategies that result in significant efficiency and automation.

Modules they have implemented include: timekeeping, project forecasting, billing, and expense reporting. Carter has also restructured the company's indirect cost pool structure multiple times to drive more accurate contract specific financial analysis and reporting. In addition, they have led the implementation of a Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliant cost accounting infrastructure.

Carter Wood has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Virginia in Accounting and Finance. Carter is also certified by the Virginia Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant.

They are on a team with Sean Spann - CTO, Tara Davey - COO, and Mohamed Elansary - Chief Growth Officer. Carter Wood reports to Eric Olson, CEO.
