Michael DiRende

Michael DiRende has a diverse and extensive work experience. Michael is currently employed at Buckle, starting in 2020, where they hold the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Chief Restructuring Officer, and Head of Special Situations/M&A. Prior to Buckle, they served as a Board Member for American Country Insurance Company, Gateway Insurance Company, and American Services Insurance Company, starting in 2022. In 2018, they worked at KingsRock in Insurance Special Situations/M&A. From 2008 to 2017, they worked at Assured Guaranty, holding the positions of Chief Surveillance Officer and Managing Director, where they managed a $50 billion portfolio and led recovery efforts for distressed credits. Before that, they were a Director at MBIA, managing distressed credits, and a Director at Zolfo Cooper (now AlixPartners), where they provided operational and financial advice. Michael'scareer started at Arthur Andersen LLP, where they served as an Experienced Senior.

Michael DiRende has a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree in Public Accountancy from Pace University. Michael also completed a Marketing Certificate Program at Columbia Business School. Additionally, Michael holds certifications as a Certified Insolvency Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
