Philip Maitland has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Philip is currently employed at Buddle Findlay as the Chief Executive, a position they have held since January 2018. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the same company.
Before joining Buddle Findlay, Philip worked at the Ministry of Fisheries as Acting CFO for a brief period in 2010. Philip also has experience at the Ministry of Justice, where they held the position of General Manager, Finance and Support Services from 2004 to 2009.
Philip has extensive experience in corporate finance, having worked as an Associate Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2002 to 2004. Philip also has experience in the banking industry, having worked at the Bank of New Zealand as a Financial Analyst from 1993 to 1994.
During their career, Philip has also held various roles at EFTPOS New Zealand Ltd, EFTPOS New Zealand, PricewaterhouseCoopers, SBC Warburg, and Price Waterhouse, gaining valuable expertise in management consulting, service delivery, business performance improvement, and auditing.
Philip Maitland attended Upper Hutt College from 1981 to 1985, but did not earn a degree or study any specific field during this time. Philip then went on to study at Victoria University of Wellington from 1986 to 1989, where they earned a BCA degree with a focus on Accounting, Management, and Marketing.
