Marianne Holden

Marianne Holden is a seasoned professional in gender equality and development, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Bufdir since September 2021, after previously holding the position of Program Coordinator in the same field. Prior experience includes roles as Program Director, Program Advisor, and Communication Advisor at FOKUS- Forum for Women and Development from February 2017 to September 2021. Marianne also worked as a Project Coordinator for Operation Day's Work at the Norwegian Students’ and Academics’ International Assistance Fund in 2016, and as a Research Assistant at NMBU - Norwegian University of Life Sciences in 2015. Early career highlights include serving as Project Coordinator for The Human Rights Academy and as a Journalist for the Norwegian Public Broadcasting Corporation. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's degree in International Relations from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Volda University College, complemented by an Erasmus exchange program in International Relations at Sciences Po Lille.
