Michael Freitas

Michael Freitas serves as the Team Physician for the Buffalo Sabres since July 2019, the University at Buffalo since July 2013, and the Rochester Americans since August 2018. Additionally, Michael has been a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician at UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine since 2010 and provides services at Highgate Medical Group, P.C. since August 2014. Previous experience includes roles as an Urgent Care Physician at MASH Urgent Care from 2012 to September 2015 and Team Physician for the Western New York Flash from March 2014 to March 2015. Early in Michael's career, a role as a Physical Therapist was held at Physiotherapy Associates from 2003 to 2006. Educational credentials include an MD in Medicine from the University at Buffalo (2006 - 2010) and a degree from Northeastern University (1997 - 2003).
