Michelle Tovar

Michelle Tovar, Ed.D., currently serves as the Director of Education at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, where responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for diverse audiences and enhancing museum engagement. Previously, Dr. Tovar held the position of Adjunct Professor of History at University of St. Thomas (TX) and was the Director of Public Engagement at Holocaust Museum Houston, focusing on outreach to new audiences, students, and scholars. Additionally, Dr. Tovar was Associate Director of Education for Latino Initiatives at the same museum. Academic credentials include a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction Professional Leadership from University of Houston, a Master of Liberal Arts in History/Social Justice from University of St. Thomas (TX), and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from University of Houston-Downtown.
