Avanish Pathak

Avanish Pathak has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Avanish started their career at Bugcrowd as a Security Researcher in October 2018. Avanish then joined Synack, Inc. in October 2020 as part of the Synack Red Team. Avanish then moved on to Digital14 in March 2022, where they worked as a Red Team Security Consultant. Their responsibilities included conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on infrastructure, mobile applications, and web applications to identify security risks. Avanish also worked on finding internal and external threats that could compromise data or systems. Avanish drafted detailed reports on the results of their assessments. In 2023, they joined CPX as a Red Team Security Consultant, where they created attack scenarios and conducted simulated attacks to test an organization's security defenses. Previously, Avanish worked at Cobalt, first as a Core Pentester from November 2020 to June 2021, and then as a Lead Pentester from May 2021. At Cobalt, they successfully delivered over 100 penetration tests and worked with external vendors to identify vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications, as well as network systems. Avanish validated and triaged the findings reported by their teammates.

Avanish Pathak completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications (BCA) from AIMS Institutes between 2018 and 2021. Before that, they attended Peoples High School in Goa from 2016 to 2018 for their 11th and 12th-grade education. From 2007 to 2015, they studied at Navy Children School in Goa, completing their 1st to 10th-grade education.

In addition to their formal education, Avanish obtained several certifications. Avanish received the eLearnSecurity - eJPT certification from eLearnSecurity in July 2023. Earlier, in March 2020, they acquired the Advanced Web Hacking certification from MDSec. Avanish also holds a certification in Practical Web Application Security and Testing, though the specific details regarding the institution and the date obtained are not provided.
