Damien Radford

Director, Global Engineering at Bugcrowd

Damien Radford began their work experience in 2002 at Shortcuts Software, where they served as a Software Engineer until 2004. From 2004 to 2006, they transitioned into the role of Sales Engineer/Customer Success at the same company. In 2006, they took a break from their professional career to embark on a motorcycle journey around the world. Following their adventure, Radford joined Biamp Systems in 2007 as a Creative Audio - Software Engineer, where they worked on the Ruby on Rails announcement application and a Text to Speech conversion service. In 2008, they joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, specifically working on the triple j website media player. Damien'sresponsibilities included building jukebox players with playlists for audio, video, and images, as well as live radio stream players and inline embedded players using Flash and ActionScript 3. Damien also implemented XML templating and feed aggregation. Radford remained with the ABC until 2014 and then joined Bugcrowd as a Senior Software Engineer. Over the years, they advanced within the company, serving as the Director of Engineering from 2015 to 2017, the Principal Engineer from 2017 to 2019, and currently as the Director of Global Engineering.

Damien Radford attended Griffith University from 1997 to 2002, where they pursued two different degrees. The first one was in Information Technology, with a focus on Computer Science and Software Engineering. Alongside, they also pursued a degree in Microelectronic Engineering, specializing in Communication Systems and Digital Signal Processing.
