Steve Ellis

Steve Ellis serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Block.one since November 2018. Prior to this role, Steve held various key positions at Commonwealth Bank from January 2012 to October 2018, including Executive General Manager of Investment Development and Finance Transformation, General Manager for India & Vietnam, and General Manager of Group Strategy. Responsibilities included evaluating large-scale capital investments, leading consumer banking operations in India and Vietnam, and driving strategic initiatives for the bank. Earlier in Steve's career, experience as Vice President in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse spanned multiple international offices, focusing on capital markets, leveraged finance, and M&A advisory. Steve holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from The University of Auckland.
