Carl Crawford

Carl Crawford is an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in software development and education. Currently managing a cross-functional team of over 10 engineers at Bumble since January 2017, Carl previously held roles including Engineering Manager for Bumble Web, Technical Lead for the Lumen application, and Javascript Developer for Bumble's first React Native product. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer role at Stickyworld, maintaining and developing web platforms, and part-time lecturing at the University of Greenwich, covering topics such as Computer Programming and 3D Computer Graphics. Carl interned as a Corporate Engineer at Google, supporting technical issues across multiple platforms. Educationally, Carl earned a Ph.D. focusing on Dynamic Multilevel Graph Layout and Visualization, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich.
