Daan van der Werf

Daan van der Werf has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. In 2008, they began working as a Krantenbezorger for de Persgroep Nederland, a role they held until 2014. In 2017, they joined the Eco-Runner Team Delft as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2018. During the same year, they also had an internship at bunq as an IT intern. Daan then served as a Teaching Assistant at Technische Universiteit Delft for a brief period. In 2018, they took on the role of Planning & Coördination at Stichting Festival Aangeschoten Wild for a year. In 2020, they returned to bunq as a Master Thesis Student, conducting research on machine learning for fraud detection. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at bunq, starting in 2022. Throughout their work experience, they demonstrated expertise in software engineering, coordination, and data science.

Daan van der Werf completed their education in Computer Science at Delft University of Technology. Daan obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the university, which they pursued from 2018 to 2021. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Technische informatica / Computertechniek / Technische computerkunde from the same university between 2014 and 2018. Additionally, they pursued a Minor in Electrical Sustainable Energy Systems from 2016 to 2017 during their time at Delft University of Technology.

Before attending university, Daan van der Werf completed their VWO degree in Natuur & Techniek / Natuur & Gezondheid at Jac. P. Thijsse college from 2008 to 2014.

Furthermore, Daan van der Werf obtained certifications in the form of an MSc (Master's) degree in Computer Science from TU Delft in November 2021 and a BSc (Bachelor's) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft in November 2018.
