Andrew Seigner

Andrew Seigner has a diverse work experience across various companies. Andrew began their career at OeDae Language Institute as an ESL Instructor from February 2002 to February 2003. Andrew then worked at Gracenote as a Software Engineer from June 2003 to January 2004 and as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2004 to May 2010. At Gracenote, they were involved in developing software suites used by major companies like iTunes, Winamp, Yahoo, Sony, Samsung, LG, and Nokia.

From August 2009 to June 2010, Andrew Seigner worked as a Co-Founder at heypic.me, where they developed a real-time Twitter photo display on a Google Map using MySQL, Python/WSGI, PHP, and JS.

In July 2012, Andrew joined Twitter as an Engineering Manager. Andrew managed the Trust & Safety Engineering and Platform Tools teams, overseeing a team of 10 to 15 software engineers. Andrew was responsible for recruitment, promotion, and performance coaching. Andrew also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Twitter from June 2010 to June 2012, where they were involved in full-stack development on the Trust & Safety Engineering team.

Andrew Seigner served as an Advisor at AGOGO Amalgamated, Inc. from December 2011 to May 2012, and as an Advisor at Code Coup from May 2016 to March 2017.

In 2015, Andrew joined Buoyant, Inc. as a Software Engineer, focusing on designing and building an open-source high-performance service mesh. Andrew primarily worked on backend systems in Scala and Go.

From March 2016 to June 2017, Andrew worked as a Software Development Consultant at Off the Grid Services, LLC.

Andrew Seigner attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1997 to 2001 where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their field of study was Applied Mathematics with a Computer Science emphasis. In 2000, they briefly attended the University of Pittsburgh, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study.
