Brian Quistorff is currently the Chief Data Scientist at the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Prior to this role, Brian worked at Microsoft as a Senior Research Economist. Their extensive experience includes roles as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Maryland, a Teacher at the Global Village Project, a Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia, and a Software Developer at Avalara. Brian also served in the Peace Corps as an Education Leader and Computer Technology Extensionist. Brian holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, an M.A. in Economics from the University of British Columbia, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
