Alisdair MacDonald Ceng Miet

Alisdair MacDonald CEng MIET is a Principal Consultant at Bureau Veritas Group, specializing in strategic direction and business development in Solar PV, Electrical, and Battery sectors since December 2021. Previously, Alisdair owned Lormark Limited from December 1999 to November 2021, providing consulting services as an Electrical & Electronics Engineer, Software Developer, and Project Manager after relocating the company from South Africa to the UK in 2020. As Technical Director at Solaray Systems (Pty) Ltd from April 2015 to December 2019, Alisdair achieved significant milestones including world-first solar PV installations for MAN Truck and Bus. Alisdair also served as Senior Project Manager at Kongsberg Maritime from April 2005 to October 2011, leading software teams across multiple countries, and held various roles at Conlog (Pty) Ltd from 1991 to 1999, including Divisional Manager for Solar where Alisdair developed innovative products and international marketing agreements. Alisdair holds a BSc Engineering degree in Electronics and Electrical from the University of Cape Town.
