Béatrice Place-Faget has extensive experience in various legal positions. Béatrice began their career as a Legal Counsel at France Telecom in 1995, where they worked for five years. Béatrice then joined ERIDANIA BEGHIN SAY as a Senior Legal Counsel before being appointed as Legal Manager at Cerestar. In this role, they managed corporate and securities law matters and oversaw the sale of the Cerestar Group.
In 2002, Béatrice joined CGG as the VP of Corporate Legal Affairs and was later promoted to Group General Counsel. Béatrice was responsible for managing legal support for the company's international business lines, handling strategic transactions, and ensuring corporate governance compliance. Béatrice also acted as the General Secretary for the double-listed mother company on the Euronext and New York Stock Exchange.
After leaving CGG in 2018, Béatrice served as the Chief General Counsel at Atalian Servest and worked in the Corporate Governance Department at SCOR as part of interim management. In 2020, they held the positions of Interim General Secretary and Group General Counsel at Technicolor before joining Bureau Veritas Group as the EVP of Legal Affairs & Internal Audit.
Béatrice Place-Faget has a Master of Laws in Common Law Studies from Georgetown University Law Center. Their areas of study included conflicts of laws, company law, international commercial law, joint ventures, and the US legal system. Béatrice also holds a DEA degree from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, focusing on English and North American business law. In addition, they obtained a maitrise from Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) in private law, commercial law, and private international law.
