Emily Stebbins-Wheelock has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Emily started their career as the Managing Editor at Let's Go Publications from 1996 to 1997. Emily then worked as the Director of Marketing/Telecommunications Consultant at Riser Management Systems from 1998 to 2002 and also served as the Editorial Director during that time. In 2003, they established their own communications consulting firm, Stebbins Ink Communications, where they worked as Owner/Principal until 2011.

In 2005, Emily joined the University of Vermont where they held various roles, including Strategic Analyst/Planner from 2005 to 2013, Senior Project Manager from 2013 to 2015, and finally as the Director of Operational Excellence, Finance Division from 2015 to 2019. Emily'sresponsibilities involved improving organizational effectiveness, project management, business analysis, ERP system support, and implementing new budgeting and financial reporting systems.

Currently, Emily works as the CFO and Manager of Strategy & Innovation at Burlington Electric Department, starting from September 2019. Emily'srole involves financial management, strategy development, and fostering innovation within the company.

Emily Stebbins-Wheelock received a B.A. in English from Harvard University in 1997. Emily later pursued an M.S. in Community Development & Applied Economics from the University of Vermont, which they completed in 2009. Additionally, Emily has obtained several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute in 2021, and they hold certifications in Change Practitioner from Prosci and Associate in Risk Management - ERM from The Institutes, both obtained in 2014.
