Ian Piro

Ian Piro's work experience includes their most recent role as Senior Director of Corporate Development at Burnham RNG starting in May 2023. Before that, they were a Business Development Manager at Anaergia Inc. from January 2021 until May 2023. Prior to that, they were a Consultant at Isle Utilities from June 2019 until January 2021, where they were a Client Services Manager for the Northeast and Midwest United States and facilitated regional innovation forums connecting leading utilities to emerging technologies. From January 2017 until June 2019, Mr. Piro was an Environmental Compliance Manager at DELCORA where they monitored the Environmental Performance of over $350 million in total assets and managed permit applications, modifications, and negotiations with PADEP, USEPA, DRBC, and local stakeholders. During this time, they also held the role of Environmental Scientist and coordinated an EPA approved Industrial Pretreatment Program with 60 industrial users. Before joining DELCORA, they held a Project Assistant role at PMC BioTec, LLC from June 2011 until November 2011. Ian also held the position of Undergraduate Research Assistant at Villanova Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory from February 2010 until May 2011.

Ian Piro earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Villanova University in the years between 2007 and 2011. Ian then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science at Drexel University, which they earned from 2014 to 2016. In addition, they obtained a Wastewater License, A-Subclasses: 1, 2, 3, from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in February 2017.
