Alan Erickson joined Buro Happold in 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in structural engineering, specializing in innovative structures for museum, education, commercial, residential and other cultural projects.

Highly attuned to client satisfaction, his expertise in structural systems is reflected in his diverse portfolio of award-winning projects including the National 9/11 Memorial Museum Pavilion in New York City, the Yale University School of Management in New Haven, CT and the High Line, a 1.3 mile stretch of elevated railroad line that has been converted to a public park and has become one of the most successful urban renewal projects in New York City.

Knowledgeable in forensics investigation of structural failures and the design of complicated structural systems for large-scale projects, Alan delivers high quality design that satisfies clients and collaborators alike.
