Kaylee Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kaylee began their career as a Customer Sales and Service Representative at TJ Maxx from 2014 to 2017. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Digital Marketing Intern at Toyota North America, where they managed digital campaigns and reported on metrics for website and social media channels. In 2019, they took on the role of Barista at TURBO: Coffee, Pizza, Wine and also served as the Marketing & Brand Partnerships Lead at The Classic T-shirt Company. In 2020, they joined Busey as an Officer - Community Relations and Marketing Specialist, where they planned and executed community involvement campaigns, managed budgets, fostered relationships with community organizations, and organized community events. Kaylee later advanced to the position of Assistant Vice President - Charitable Relations Manager and then Assistant Vice President - Charitable Relations Director. Throughout their career, Kaylee has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, budget management, relationship building, and creating cross-company campaigns.
Kaylee Thompson's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Belmont University from 2016 to 2017, where they studied Social Entrepreneurship but did not earn a degree. Kaylee completed their high school education at Waubonsie Valley High School from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Kaylee has obtained additional certifications including TABC Certified from TABC On The Fly and Texas Food Handler Certified from Certified On The Fly in May 2019.
