Guro Hegna Svendsen

Guro Hegna Svendsen is an experienced professional in strategic communication and leadership, currently serving as Beredskapsleder at Buskerud fylkeskommune since January 2024. Previously, Guro held the position of Kommunikasjonsdirektør at the same organization from December 2008 to December 2019, providing expert advice on strategic communication across all levels and for political and administrative leadership. Guro has contributed as Styreleder for Kommunik, bringing together communications leaders and advisors in municipalities and counties from March 2012 to April 2016, and served on the board of Drammen Drift, overseeing municipal construction projects. Additional roles include strategic communications advisor in a freelance capacity at GHS Kommunikatøren and various leadership positions in associations and organizations aimed at community and cultural development.
